JaRco Consulting is an international consulting company, established in 2007, with offices in the United States and Ethiopia. Since its establishment, JaRco has provided technical support in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), as well as data collection for development and humanitarian programs. We are specializing in a wide range of services—including qualitative and quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation system design, capacity building, and technical assistance.

Position: Finance Intern

Educations

• Recent BA degree graduates (from 2024 onwards) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• CGPA: 3.25 & above
• Passed Exit exam

Technical Skills & Abilities :

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Familiarity with accounting software (Peachtree accounting software) is a plus.
• Understanding financial statements and accounting principles.
• Basic knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills

Behavioral Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

• Accuracy of financial record-keeping and data entry (target: 95% error-free).
• Timeliness of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Number of bank reconciliations completed on time.
• Support provided for audit and compliance activities.
• Contribution to budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Responsiveness and effectiveness in completing ad hoc tasks and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated learning and improvement in finance processes over the internship period.
