Walia Steel Industry (WSI) is a private limited company established in 2006 at Alemgena town of the Oromia Regional State, which is 20km away from Addis Ababa. It was established with an initial capital of Birr 200,000,000 (Two Hundred Million Birr) and, in the years to follow, has increased the capital.
The company was established with the objective of manufacturing & marketing of steel products. The industry is built on a total land area of 53,000 square meters.
WSI was established with the view of alleviating the acute shortage of construction materials in Ethiopia and to support the national endeavor of achieving the economic development by contributing in the harnessing of social problems through job creation to our citizens.
Position 1: Junior IT Support Technician
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and office applications
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and work under supervision.

Position 2: Junior Full Stack Developer
Educational Qualification:
- Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one backend language (PHP, Python, or Node.js)
- Familiarity with frameworks (React, Laravel, Frappe/ERPNext is an advantage)
- Understanding of databases and version control (Git).

Position 3: Junior Workshop Operator
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- No prior work experience required.

Position 4: CCTV Technician
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Electronics, IT, Networking, or related field
- Proven experience in CCTV installation and monitoring
- Knowledge of IP cameras, NVR/DVR, PoE switches, and networking basics
- Ability to read site layouts and cabling diagrams
- Good communication and reporting skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, or similar systems
- Basic knowledge of access control or alarm systems
- Ability to work outdoors and in underground cabling environments
- Willingness to work shifts (for monitoring roles).

Position 5: Senior Workshop Operator (Senior Machinist)
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating:
- Lathe machines
- Milling machines
- Vertical drilling machines
- Grinding machines
- Prior experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
