Addis Ababa Silk Road General Hospital (ASRGH) was constructed in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia in 2017 in an echo of the “Belt and Road Initiative” by AFEI Holding. This 14 story, new state-of-the-art hospital is committed to enhance China-Africa unbreakable friendship and strengthen innovation and practice to improve healthcare in Africa. This new facility is designed for two specific groups: patients and their families and the healthcare professionals.
Position 1: Free Service
Educational Qualification:
- BSC in Nursing and licensed.
- Fresh Graduates
Knowledge & Skill requirements
- Advanced computer skills to read data’s efficiently,
- Ability to work for longer hours prioritizing life-tied environment and willingness to spare weekend, night, and public holidays when required,
- High professional ethics and value to handle patients, Self-motivated,
- Duration fixed for three months, and

Position 2: Environmental health unit officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or a related field
- Over 2 years of experience .

Position 3: Bio-Medical Engineering
Educational Qualification & Work Experience
- BSC in Bio-Medical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with biomedical devices.
- Ensure all medical equipment complies with safety standards and regulations.
knowledge & Skill requirements
- Proven practical work experience in maintaining high tech medical equipment and machinery,
- Advanced computer skills in relation to maintenance’s and reading signals efficiently,

Position 4: NICU Nurse
Educational Qualification & Work Experience
- BSC in Nursing and licensed.
- Minimum 2 year experience in NICU
Knowledge & Skill requirements
- Certificate on BLS and ACLS training.
- Have good communication skill.
- Have some computer skills.
- The ability to offer emotional support to parents, guardians, and family members.
- knowledge of NICU specialized equipment
- The ability to work in a team.
- The ability to offer comfort to ill newborns.
- Language: Fluent in English (oral & written)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants.
- Monitor and assess the condition of neonates in the NICU.
- Provide emotional and educational support to parents and families.
- Caring for the basic needs of infants; for example, feeding and changing diapers.
- Performing medical procedures; for example, inserting intravenous lines, performing tests, and administering medications.
- Assisting the NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments.
Position 5: Adult ICU Nurse (Intensive Care Unit)
Educational Qualification & Work Experience
- BSC in Nursing and licensed.
- Minimum 2 year experience in ICU
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
- Operate and maintain life-support equipment, including ventilators and monitors.
- Assist doctors during medical procedures and emergencies.
- Educate and support patients’ families about care and recovery processes
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including monitoring vital signs, hemodynamic status, neurological function, and other critical parameters.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, adjusting as needed based on the patient’s condition.
- Provide expert nursing interventions to manage complex medical conditions, including but not limited to, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal disorders.
- Anticipate, recognize, and promptly respond to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate emergency measures as necessary.
Knowledge & Skill requirements
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. (Optional)
- Proficiency in the use of advanced medical equipment and technology used in the ICU.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Position 6: Medical Laboratory Technologist
Educational Qualification & Work Experience
- BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology and licensed.
- Minimum 2 year experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.).
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and report test results to healthcare providers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in the laboratory.
- Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, microbiology, serology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis
- Performs Conjunctive Swab culture and corneal scraping smear examinations
- Performs regular microbiological surveillance of operation theatre
- Report test results following clinic protocols alerting providers and/or nurses about abnormal results.
- Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling and maintain accurate record keeping.
- Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.
Knowledge & Skill requirements
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. (Optional)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Knowledge of Technical Laboratory skills and workflow.
