New Millennium Women Empowerment Organization (NMWEO) is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization established in 2007 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The organization was previously registered at the Ministry of Justice under registration number 3018 and later registered and licensed by the Federal Charities and Societies Agency as an Ethiopian resident’s charity by the Charities and Societal Proclamation No. 621/2009 by registration No. 0539.
Position 1: Finance Assistant Intern
Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, Accounting and Finance, or related field;
- Final-year students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply;
- Basic understanding of accounting principles;
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word;
- Good numerical and analytical skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Good organizational and filing skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- High level of integrity and professionalism;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience: Previous work experience is not required. Relevant internship, volunteer, or practical experience is an advantage.
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Duration: 6 Months

Position 2: Human Resources Assistant Intern
Qualifications
- Degree/diploma in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, or related field;
- Final-year students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply;
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices;
- Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong organizational and documentation skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Strong interest in HR and organizational development.

Position 3: Accountant
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years specifically working for local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) and extensive experience with enterprise-level accounting software.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
