Job opening for the position of Program Officer at Biruh Adis Charitable Organization.
Biruh Adis Charitable Organization (BACO) is an Ethiopian nonprofit charity established in 2023 (registry number 6796), under the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation Number 1113/2019. BACO advocates for migrant returnees, representing those from and within Ethiopia.
Our mission extends beyond reintegration, as we actively support migrant returnee women victims of sexual violence, combat discrimination, and empower through job opportunities. Additionally, we provide comprehensive trauma care services. Supported by the Freedom Fund,
Position: Program Officer
Qualifications:
- A MA or Bachelor’s degree (BA) in a relevant field
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in program management, preferably in the non-profit sector(ngo).
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in English and Amharic
The Program Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring programs aimed at achieving the organization’s mission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing program strategies and objectives
- Overseeing the execution of program activities
- Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes and impacts
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Preparing reports and documentation for donors and partners
- Conducting field visits to program sites to ensure effective implementation
- Providing technical support and guidance to program staff
Type: Full-Time Salary: Based on the company’s scale
