Job opening for the position of Program Officer at Biruh Adis Charitable Organization.

Biruh Adis Charitable Organization (BACO) is an Ethiopian nonprofit charity established in 2023 (registry number 6796), under the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation Number 1113/2019. BACO advocates for migrant returnees, representing those from and within Ethiopia.

Our mission extends beyond reintegration, as we actively support migrant returnee women victims of sexual violence, combat discrimination, and empower through job opportunities. Additionally, we provide comprehensive trauma care services. Supported by the Freedom Fund,

Position: Project Coordinator

Education: Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Experience: At least 3 years of proven work experience exclusively in the NGO sector

• Experience outside the nonprofit sector will not be considered
• Preference given to candidates with experience in migration-related projects

• Residence: Applicants residing in or near the Paulos Hospital area are strongly encouraged to apply
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills
• Fluency in both Amharic and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of program initiatives aligned with BACO’s mission. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing project strategies and action plans
• Overseeing day-to-day project activities
• Monitoring performance indicators and evaluating impact
• Coordinating with NGO and government stakeholders
• Preparing reports and documentation for donors and internal use
• Leading field visits and supervision to ensure project quality
• Supporting and guiding staff in technical and administrative areas
