Partnership For Pastoralists Development Association Is a legally registered humanitarian, National non-governmental organization striving to improve the livelihood of poor pastoralists and agro-pastoralist communities in Ethiopia. PAPDA was established in June 2006 by people who hail from pastoralist areas of Oromia, Somali, and Afar regional States and is re registered (No 0355) with the Agency for Civil Society Organizations.
PAPDA is seeking qualified and motivated interns to support its Operational Departments, specifically within Human Resources, Procurement, Logistics, Program Support, and Information Technology (IT) units. The internship aims to provide hands-on professional experience while supporting the organization’s operational and programmatic objectives.
Position: Intern
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Human Resource Management, or a related field
- Master’s Degree is an asset
Experience
- 6 Months–1 year of relevant work or internship experience

- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and team-oriented environment
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Key Responsibilities (by Functional Area)
Human Resources (HR)
- Support recruitment processes, including vacancy announcements, shortlisting, and interview coordination
- Assist in maintaining personnel files and HR databases
- Support onboarding and orientation of new staff and interns
- Assist with HR documentation, filing, and reporting in compliance with PAPDA policies
Procurement and Logistics
- Assist in preparing procurement documents such as purchase requests, RFQs, and bid analysis summaries
- Support vendor communication and maintain procurement records
- Assist in ensuring procurement activities comply with PAPDA and donor regulations
- Support tracking and filing of procurement documentation
- Support inventory and asset management, including updating stock cards and asset registers
- Assist in coordinating transportation, distribution, and dispatch documentation
- Support warehouse organization and stock control processes
- Assist in preparing logistics and asset reports
