The Ministry of Justice of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has been undertaking operational and organizational reforms to effectively discharge its legal responsibilities. One key component of this reform is the organization of a Customer/Client Service work unit to ensure that service recipients receive better quality, efficiency, and convenient service.

This announcement is issued to recruit legal professionals as Prosecutors who are interested and motivated to serve in this unit and meet the requirements specified below. Duties/Job Description (Summary)* Receive service requests from clients via the call center (phone, email, or other communication methods) and provide respectful, prompt, and accurate responses; assist, and direct the issue to the relevant body.
* Receive clients who physically visit the Ministry’s Customer Service Desk and provide respectful, prompt, and accurate responses, assistance, and direction.
* Ensure clients receive accurate information, timely service, and have a positive perception/satisfaction regarding the justice service they received.
* Organize, analyze, and code various information concerning the institution; conduct trend analysis; prepare content for publication and perform editorial work; organize and code information for social media, press conferences, press releases, and interviews; perform editorial work; plan and coordinate event organization; prepare news; formulate current messages; conduct media scans; and execute/manage communication and public relations activities of the Ministry.

* LLB from a recognized government university and 7 years of legal work experience; OR
* LLM (2nd Degree) in Law and 5 years of legal work experience; OR
* PhD (3rd Degree) in Law and 3 years of legal work experience.
Undergraduate GPA3.25 and above.
Duties/Job Description (Summary)* Monitor and coordinate the Ministry’s Customer Service Desk, Digital Services, and Call Center services.
* Ensure that client information requests, complaints, and service inquiries are handled appropriately and effectively, and ensure overall service quality.
* Enhance institutional service delivery by coordinating implementers, monitoring service standards, utilizing digital systems, and identifying continuous improvements.

General Mandatory Requirements (for all candidates):
  • Must be an Ethiopian national and reside in Ethiopia.
  • Must be adherent to the Constitution and the rule of law.
  • Must not be a member of any political organization.
  • Must provide a certificate of good standing regarding diligence, integrity, and ethics from the government institution they work for or from their residential area.
  • Must not have a criminal conviction record.
  • Must be proficient in the working language of the Federal Government (Amharic).
  • Must be able to pass a written, oral, or both exams as required.
  • Female and physically challenged applicants are highly encouraged.
