KHM Trading PLC invites fresh graduates for the following job position.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our finance team with essential accounting functions. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, performing data entry, assisting with report preparation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards—all under the guidance of senior accounting staff.
Position: Junior Accountant
Qualification:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0 years of Experience
- Language: Oromifa language is mandatory
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong grasp of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and recognize trends.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies or irregularities.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update general ledgers, accounting databases, and documentation for accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Enter financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements against internal records.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Process incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Ensure timely payments and accurate documentation.
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze trends and historical data to support planning activities.
- Prepare basic financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with compiling data for internal and external reporting.
- Provide support during audits by organizing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Help ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Support payroll functions, including calculations, data entry, and report preparation.
- Record and monitor fixed assets, maintain depreciation schedules, and update related documentation.
- Utilize accounting software Peachtree
