Ethiopian Railway, commonly known as ER, full name Ethiopian Railway Corporation, is the national railway operator of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, under the regulation of the Ministry of Transport. ERC operates passenger and freight transport.

The Ethiopian railways Corporation (ERC) was established on 20 November 2007 by regulation 141/2007 of the council of Ministers of te Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The regulation mandate ERC to develop railway infrastructure and provide passenger an freight rail transportation services in Ethiopia. 

Position 1: Store Keeper

Educational Qualification: Diploma/Level 4.

Experience: 2 years of experience in a construction project.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Managing inventory, inspecting incoming shipments, and ensuring stock levels.

Position 2: Level Man

Educational Qualification: Diploma/Level 4 in Surveying.

Experience: 2 years as a Level Man in road construction.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Map reading skills, accuracy in data collecting and interpreting surveying equipment such as manual and digital levels.

Position 3: Office Engineer

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.

Experience: 4 years of general experience and 2 years of experience as an Office Engineer in a road construction project.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Preparing working drawings and templates, quantity surveying, preparing master work plans, daily/monthly reports, and proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Primavera, and MS Project.

Position 4: Senior Structural Engineer

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering.

Experience: 6 years of general experience and 3 years as a Senior Structural Engineer in a bridge project.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Evaluating construction sites, reviewing detailed drawings, approving technical reports, and bridge structural design using software such as CSI Bridge, SAP2000, Revit, and CAD.

Position 5: Senior Site Engineer

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.

Experience: 6 years of general experience and 4 years of specific experience in a road project.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Advanced drawing and plan interpretation, surveying and setting out, quality and material control, resource scheduling, and planning.

Position 6: Senior Office Engineer

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.

Experience: 6 years of general experience and 3 years of proven specific experience as a Senior Office Engineer in a road project.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Preparing working drawings and templates, master work plans, daily/monthly reports, and proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Primavera, and MS Project.

Position 7: Store Head

Educational Qualification: BA in Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.

Experience: 6 years of general experience and 3 years as a Store Head in a project.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Store management, team work, inventory, and document control.

Position 8: Senior Surveyor

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering/Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

Experience: 6 years of general experience in surveying work and 3 years as a Senior Surveyor in road construction.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Leading the construction team, managing project progress, scheduling, and resource planning.

Position 10: Office Engineer Head

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering.

Experience: 8 years of general experience and 4 years of proven specific experience as a Senior Office Engineer in a road project.

Job Description: Preparing working drawings and templates, quantity surveying, preparing master work plans, daily/monthly reports, and proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Primavera, and MS Project.

Position 11: Chief Surveyor

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering/Surveying, Construction Management.

Experience: 8 years of general experience in surveying work and 4 years as Chief Surveyor in road construction.

Job Description: Managing the team, map reading, accuracy in data collecting and interpreting, and operating surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and digital levels.

Position 12: Project Manager

Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering.

Experience: 12 years of general experience and 4 years of proven experience as a Project Manager on a road construction project.

Place of Work: Project.

Job Description: Leadership and management, reporting and planning, scheduling, budgeting and control, with proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Primavera, and MS Project.

Position 13: Purchaser

Educational Qualification: M.A./B.A. Degree in Purchasing & Supply Management, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

Place of Work: Project.

Position 14: Safety Expert II

Educational Qualification: M.Sc./B.Sc. Degree in Railway, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Salary: 20,369.00 ETB.
