Ethiopian Media Women Association Vacancy
The Ethiopian Media Women Association (EMWA) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization established in 1999. EMWA is dedicated to promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment within the media sector and beyond.
EMWA engages in a range of activities including capacity building for women media professionals, gender-sensitive journalism training, advocacy against gender-based violence (GBV), and promoting ethical and inclusive media practices.
EMWA is pleased to announce its 2026 paid Internship Program for a recent graduate in Journalism, Communication, and related fields. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, professional mentorship, and exposure to media and gender advocacy work.
Position: Communication Intern
Eligibility
- Recent graduates with BA degree (within the last 2 years) in Journalism, Communication, or related fields
- Strong interest in gender, media, and women’s rights advocacy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including:
- Creativity and innovative thinking
- Ability to create engaging content
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Eagerness to learn and grow
- Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and ethical conduct

Commitment: Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Salary: Based on EMWA’s organizational salary scale
