Established to ensure the safety, security, and efficiency of air transport services, the authority regulates airlines, airports, air navigation services, aircraft operations, and aviation personnel licensing.
It operates in accordance with international aviation standards and recommended practices, particularly those set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), to ensure Ethiopia’s aviation sector meets global safety and operational requirements.

Critical Application Rules
- Registration Deadline: You have 10 working days starting from the day after the announcement (which would be roughly until April 9, 2026).
- Eligibility: This is strictly for graduates from the years 2016, 2017, and 2018 E.C. (2024 to 2026 G.C.).
- Age Restriction: For Positions 1, 2, and 3, applicants must be 25 years old or younger.
- Training Period: Those selected for Positions 1 through 3 will undergo 6 months of training. During this time, they receive a monthly pocket allowance of 3,200 ETB, plus snacks and transport service to/from the academy.
- Required Paperwork: You must bring original and non-returnable copies of your degree, a birth certificate or ID confirming your age, and a CV.
