Ethiopian Road Authority (ERA) is a government body established in 1951 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia that operates under the Ministry of Works and Urban Development and is responsible for road construction and monitoring and the maintenance of trunk and major link roads as well as infrastructure project management.

ERA has 5 regional offices located in the cities of Gondar, Shashemene, Diredawa, Jimma, and Alemgena. ERA’s vision is to achieve global competence and provide great roads to Ethiopia.
