Position: IT Administrator
Required Qualification & Experience
- BSC Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- 4 years of related experience in FMCG environment
Responsibilities
Hardware Administration
- Installs new operating hardware compatible with all software applications.
- monitors operating hardware configuration to ensure data integrity
- Co-ordinate fine-tuning of the existing operating environment.
- Evaluate hardware system performance, resources.
- Maintain an incident log of all hardware systems events.
- Monitors hardware system change control and updates server log books
- Liaise with suppliers on matters requiring supplier expertise.
- prepares monthly reports on hardware system performance
- Setup and configure Network Device
- Design, upgrade and Install company Network
- Monitor and evaluate Company network security
Systems Administration
- Installs new operating software releases, system upgrades on desktops, evaluates and installs patches – resolves operating system related problems.
- monitors operating system configuration to ensure data integrity
- Co-ordinate fine-tuning of the existing operating environment.
- Evaluate operating system performance, resources.
- Maintain an incident log of all operating systems events.
- Monitors operating system change control and updates server log books
- Liaise with suppliers on matters requiring supplier expertise.
- implements and maintains Active Directory group and audit policies
- prepares monthly reports on operating system performance
- Implementing Backup Schedule
- Monitoring and ensuring User Access
- Manage and monitoring System Databases
Asset acquisition and management.
- Manage acquisition of operating system hardware.
- Asset management of computer operating system hardware.
- Prepare tender enquiry documents for purchase of Software’s network equipment’s
- Evaluate tenders in conjunction with other IT functions.
- Participate in drawing up project implementation plans.
Support & Documentation
- implementation of call logging system for all reported incidents, queries and requests
- developing documentation of operating systems configuration, interfaces, disaster recovery procedures, and support contacts.
- managing vendor support and communicating with vendors for upgrades and troubleshooting tasks.
E-mail/Internet Administration
- setups/maintains the corporation’s e-mail system
- puts in place technical measures to guard against intrusion and security breaches
- ensures adherence to security and internet policies
