CAF(African Football) Job Vacancy 2025

CAF is the governing body of African football and was founded in 1957. The founding members are Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia and South Africa. With a membership of 54 Member Associations, the secretariat is based in Egypt.

At the FIFA Congress in 1954 held in Berne, Switzerland, it was voted to recognize Africa as a Confederation. This gave the continent the right to appoint its first representative to the FIFA Executive Committee and the member was Abdel Aziz Abdallah Salem of Egypt.

Position 1: Inter-Clubs Officer

Requirements (profile):

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree / Certificate or Diploma in Sports management
  • Event management certificate will be an addition.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in football event management /or other sports event management of competitions or related matters.
  • Excellent understanding of Competition Management related areas such as match operations, tournament/event management, teams & officials’ communication, and the resulting relationships.
  • Passion for delivering professional football events.
  • Ability to handle ever changing and dynamic situations in a multicultural environment while maintaining high energy levels and positive spirit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable team player.
  • Fluent in English and French languages both written and spoken is a must; command of Arabic and/or Portuguese is an asset.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Time management.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiatives.
  • Decision making skills.
  • Good IT skills – Ability to use all CAF online tools.

Position 2: Youth Competitions Officer

Requirements (profile):

  • Bachelor Degree or Master / Certificate or Diploma in Sports management
  • Event management certificate will be an addition.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in football event management / or other sports event management of competitions or related matters
  • Excellent understanding of Competition Management related areas such as match operations, tournament / event management, teams & official’s communication, and the resulting relationships.
  • Passion for delivering professional football events.
  • Project management as well as motivational leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle ever changing and dynamic situations in a multicultural environment while maintaining high energy levels and positive spirit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable team player.
  • Fluent in English and French languages both written and spoken is a must; command of Arabic and/or Portuguese is an asset.

Position 3: National Teams Officer

Requirements (profile):

  • Excellent understanding of Competition Management related areas such as match operations, tournament/event management, teams & official’s communication, and the resulting relationships.

Requirements (profile):

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in football event management /or other sports event management of competitions or related matters.
  • Excellent understanding of Competition Management related areas such as match operations, tournament/event management, teams & officials’ communication, and the resulting relationships.

  • Ability to handle ever changing and dynamic situations in a multicultural environment while maintaining high energy levels and positive spirit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Position 5: Senior Manager – Football Events

Requirements (profile):

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business administration.
  • Previous experience of 10 years minimum in the event industry, event production, event management.
  • Wide expertise in the technical requirements of event production.
  • Experience in the sports industry is an advantage.
  • Any additional certification related to event is an advantage.
  • Strong project management skills with a clear focus on delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Ability to teamwork with very good social skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work smart under pressure and efficiently on multiple project requests simultaneously, and to deal with potential for tight deadlines and unexpected complexities.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Flexible with traveling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using event management tools.
  • Fluent in English and/or French language both written and spoken; command of any other CAF official languages (English, French, Arabic) is a plus.
