We’re seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to dive into real-world software development, contribute to exciting GenAI native projects, and grow their skills in a supportive startup environment.
Position: Junior Software Engineer
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering from Addis Ababa University (June 2025 graduation preferred)
- Strong learning agility and ability to pick up new concepts quickly
- Flexibility and adaptability – essential traits for thriving in a startup environment
- Genuine passion for learning and staying current with technology trends
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of or interest in emerging Generative AI technologies
- Experience with personal projects, internships, or coursework demonstrating programming skills
- Familiarity with modern development tools and practices
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members
- Conduct research on new technologies and industry best practices
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions
- Take on various software engineering tasks as needed in our dynamic startup environment
- Learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and project requirements
