Addis Bank S.C wants to recruit employees in the following vacant positions. AdB is established by diversified groups of shareholders, Cooperatives, Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs), Iddirs, other business organizations and individual citizens. The major shareholders of the Bank are Cooperatives and their members.

The Cooperatives are mainly engaged in the provision of financial services, export business, manufacturing and services. The members of the major shareholders are mainly low and middle income citizens. The Micro Finance Institutions also address the financial needs of the “Unbanked” citizens.

Position 1: Branch Manager I

Education: BA Degree in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, Economics, Management or other related fields.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant banking experience, out of this 2 years in supervisory position;

Under the general supervision of the District Office Director, the Branch Manager I is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the operations of the branch. The role includes ensuring compliance with bank policies; managing customer service; overseeing credit analysis and collections; safeguarding branch assets; maintaining operational efficiency; and fostering strong relationships with customers, public institutions, and business partners.

The Branch Manager I also monitors financial performance, prepares reports, addresses customer complaints, and leads branch staff to achieve business and service objectives.

Place of work: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Deputy Director, District Office

Education: MA/BA Degree in Business Administration Accounting & Finance, Economics or other related fields.

Experience: For MA degree, a minimum of 6 years of relevant Banking experience; out of this 2 years in managerial position or 3 years in team leader positions or

For BA degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant Banking experience; out of this 3 years in managerial position or 4 years in team leader positions.

Under the general supervision of the District Office Director, the Deputy District Office Director assists in planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling the operations of branches within the district to ensure optimal performance. The role involves reviewing loan and guarantee applications, monitoring branch business results, compiling operational and financial reports, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and service standards.

The position supports branch managers through leadership, coaching, and resource facilitation; promotes sales and customer service culture; coordinates with various departments to meet operational needs; identifies and addresses operational risks; and ensures timely submission of district performance reports.
