Welthungerhilfe/GAA secure funds from private donations and international funding organizations, for example, EC, USAID, UN-OCHA, ECHO, and German Government. We work in the sectors of Rural Development, WASH, Natural Resource Management and Social Development. Welthungerhilfe/GAA Ethiopia follows partnership approach for project planning, implementation, and administration with Ethiopian Partner-NGOs and in exceptional cases WHH/GAA implements projects by itself.

Position 1: Intern – Logistics and Admin Assistant

Qualification:

  • BA/BSC degree in Logistics/Procurement, supply chain management, Business administration, and management.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in supply chain management, fleet management, facility management and office administration.
  • No record of any form of fraud, misappropriation of resources, etc.
  • Willingness to work in high pressure work environment with diverse demands  

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Logistics and Admin Officer in preparation of bid documents, analysis, minutes report, award and service contracts(agreements) for all procurement of WHH Ethiopia
  • Maintain and update supplier and service provider list
  • Keeps records and files of procurement in a systematic manner
  • Provide logistics support in customs clearance activities 
  • Maintain updated fixed asset register with necessary details and identification numbers; and prepare yearly report on inventories list 
  • Identify old assets and files for disposal according to WHH policies & ACSO requirements 
  • Assist LAO to ensure that WHH assets such as vehicles, furniture, equipment, office tools, and the premise(s) are maintained in the best standard. 
  • Keep track of quality, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency 
  • Manage calendar and schedules, and coordinate events, including meeting, conferences and seminars 
  • Registering and dispatching incoming or outgoing letters, circulars and memos; open, sort and distribute incoming letters;
  • Assist in travel booking / facilitating air ticket purchase, conference room and accommodation booking

Location: Addia Ababa

Position 2: Intern – MEAL

Qualification:

â–ª WHH will capacitate the MEAL intern through the provision of mentorship, coaching, and online training on MEAL. 
â–ª BA/BSc in relevant field of study such as rural development, developmental economics, development-related discipline, statistics
â–ª No work experience is required for this intern position. However, it’s open to interested applicants who have any work experience.
â–ª Language proficiency in English, and at least one additional local language (more is an advantage
â–ª Good analytical and writing skills.
â–ª Good knowledge of data Encoding and Recordings 
â–ª Knowledge in organizational development
â–ª Good skills in documentation and filing. 
â–ª Creative and open to learning.
â–ª Good ability to adapt to the new environment and organizational culture

â–ª Skill on MS. Excel
