Premier Switch Solutions S.C. (PSS) is a leading Electronic Payment Processing Company, established by major private banks of Ethiopia. PSS is a consortium owned by six private banks i.e., Awash International Bank, Nib International Bank, United Bank, Berhan International Bank, Addis International Bank, and Cooperative Bank of Oromia.
The Company has implemented the first multi-institution shared-switch infrastructure to provide its member banks with a state of the art payment technology to drive ATM, POS, e-commerce, Mobile Banking and other payment channels and provide clearing of Debit/Credit card transactions for the banks.
Currently, PSS has one vacant position stated below and would like to invite applicants who meet the qualification and required experience listed for this job opening.
Position 1: Junior Software Support Developer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software engineering ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- This is an entry level position; no experience is required
- Graduates of 2024/2025, CGPA 3:00 & above, Exit Exam pass mark required.
- Additional Exposure in Python and Android technology is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in software development projects feasibility study.
- Assist business requirement gathering, design software architecture, software coding, testing and commissioning.
- Assist in writing codes
- Maintain and upgrade existing software
- Assist in Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.
- Ensure the developed software’s, codes, patches, versions, releases are well documented and controlled.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and store of source codes.
- Assist in support for escalated software support services to users within established SLAs.
- Assist in design work/project plan to successfully deliver software development projects.
- Assist in preparing training and user guide materials for developed software’s and conduct training.
- Keep up to date with industry software trends and technology development
- Learn the source code of all software programmes to ensure ability to troubleshoot issues
- Troubleshoot and fix minor bug fixes
- Conduct development tests
- Conduct performance metrics.
- Prepare periodic reports.

Position 2: Training Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education, Business Administration, Management or related field.
- At least 2 years relevant experience for Officer I
- At least 4 years relevant experience for Officer II
- Relevant certification is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the policies and procedures for the training and consultancy business.
- Involve in skills gap analyses and identify training/consultancy needs in the market and develop responsive programs that meet the identified needs.
- Collect relevant tenders across different sources regularly and ensure tenders are reviewed, responded properly to win the bid.
- Respond bid invitations for the supply of technology and trading items.
- Involve in drafting contract documents in collaboration with relevant work units.
- Involve in the design work/project plan to successfully deliver awarded bids.
- Involve in the development of quality work product(s) and documentation for training and consultancy projects
- Involve in the design of training programs and workshops ensuring that they are aligned to client needs and upgrade existing programs, including lesson plans and training aids as needed.
- Involve in the facilitation and execution the training and consultancy services provision to meet customer expectations as per agreed contract.
- Gather feedback on sessions from attendees for improving future content and presentation
- Support the design of new training programmes
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and consultancy programmes
- Conduct performance metrics.
- Work with the Corporate strategy and innovation unit in the marketing and promotion of training and consultancy service.
- Prepare periodic reports Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Position 3: Senior Software Developer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software engineering ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development and coding
- Training in software development and database management system
- Experience in programming languages such as C++, JavaScript, Python, PHP, SQL, etc.
- Android technology experience required. Experience in writing SQL queries for standard Relational Database Management system.
- Real world experience in web-based software application development and deployment
- Relevant certification is advantageous.
