PETCO Ethiopia Recycling Job Vacancy

The Enabling Young Women and Men (EYWM) to Find Dignified and Fulfilling Work in Manufacturing Program is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within five key sub-sectors in Ethiopia: Solid Waste Management, Agro and Food Processing, Handicrafts and Leather, and Textile and Garment. Operating across five strategic clusters—Addis Ababa, Mekelle, Bahir Dar, Dire Dawa, and Hawassa—the program focuses on building the capacity of SMEs to sustainably create and improve job opportunities.

To ensure youth empowerment and their active participation in program implementation and policy advocacy, we are seeking passionate and committed young individuals to join our Youth Advisory Group (YAG).

Position: Volunteer Member, Youth Advisory Group (YAG)

Requirement Skill

• Minimum 12 grade complete, good Communication & Basic Technology skill

Qualification/Criteria:

• Age 18-35 years old, women are highly encouraged.
• Willingness, passion & commitment to serve the young community to creating positive change for youth in Ethiopia.
• Have a solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing youth enterprises in your community.
• Possess strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate.
• Free from political or other affiliations engagement that might affect the role.
• Demonstrate a commitment to serving your community and the youth program.
• Candidates from diverse backgrounds, including Persons with Disabilities and marginalized groups (e.g., internally displaced persons, refugees, urban and peri-urban youth), are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Female applicants are highly encouraged.

Number of YAG volunteer members needed/ location

• 10 in Addis Ababa, Arbaminch 3(Three), Wolita 2(two), Hossana 3(Three), Shone 2(Two), Butajira 3(three) & Worabe 3(three), Sheger City 5 (five), Bishoftu 2(two) & Adama 4(four)
• Central Tigiray zone Axum 1(one), Adwa 1(one), Abiyi-Adi 1(one), Mekelle City 3(three), EastTigiray zone Adigrat 2(two), Wukro 1(one)

Area spoken Languages Skills: Proficiency in the local language is required.
