The Ministry of Finance of Ethiopia is the lead government institution responsible for the formulation and implementation of fiscal policy, mobilization and management of public resources, and oversight of national economic planning. Its core mandates include preparing the federal budget, managing public debt, coordinating external economic cooperation, overseeing public investment and state-owned enterprises, and ensuring sound public financial management across government institutions.
