We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Clubs, Activities, and Programs Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will wear multiple hats to meet the diverse needs of our student community, coordinating student-centered activities, supporting clubs, and fostering student development. This role requires excellent organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for enhancing student experiences through leadership and soft skills development.

The position holder is required to be a highly adaptable individual who can inspire and guide students in various aspects of their personal and professional development.

Position: Clubs, Activities, and Programs Intern

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any social sciences or related fields.
  • Some experience in event planning, program coordination, student programs and activities, or a similar role is preferred but not required. 
  • A genuine enthusiasm for enhancing the educational experience of students through extracurricular activities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire students, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in English Language spoken and written.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, uprightness and the ability to uphold and enforce school policies and regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes and Skills: 

  • Demonstrable personal talents and qualities.
  • Experience working in a school setting or with student organizations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of leadership and personal development theories and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Suite.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Event Planning and Management: Facilitate event plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of a variety of student-focused events, ensuring logistics, budgeting, and on-site management.

Program Implementation: Facilitate implementation of various programs as set out by the department that engage students, encouraging participation and enhancing their campus experience.

Club Support and Development: Act as the primary liaison for student clubs, providing guidance and support for their activities, events, and administrative needs. Manage club advisors’ roles and responsibilities by following up necessary monitoring and evaluation checklists. Assist in the formation of new clubs and initiatives.

Student Talent Identification: Facilitate department mechanism to identify and nurture student talents, providing directed advice and opportunities for students to develop their leadership and soft skills.

Documentation: Document, organize, and analyze and report student participation and activities in a way that is presentable for the purpose of performance assessment and evaluation.

Audio-visual: Document, organize, and store videos and photos of events and activities.

Evaluation and Feedback: Collect and analyze feedback from students and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of events and programs, and implement improvements as needed.
