Harbu Micro Finance Institution: Established in 2005 and is affiliated to Facilitator for Change (NGO). Harbu MFI aims at boosting agricultural productivity and agricultural marketing by supporting value chain development and access to financial services. Harbu currently operates in 13 Branches Having 19,600 clients operationally sustainable with OSS by 127% and the PAR to the level of 1%. 

Position 1: Digital Banking Officer

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: MSC/BSC Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4/6 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge in digital marketing and skill. Experience in digital banking, customer service, or financial services preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of digital banking platforms and technologies.
Job Summary
  • Is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of digital banking services. This role focuses on enhancing the customer experience through online platforms, ensuring the effective delivery of digital financial solutions, and promoting the bank’s digital initiatives.

Position 2: Office secretary

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: BA/Diploma in Secretarial Science & Office Management or related Field
  • 2/4 years’ experience
Job Summary
  • Providing clerical assistance, including managing correspondence, filing documents, and maintaining office supplies.

Position 3: Internal Auditor (Regional)

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: A minimum of BA degree in Accounting from recognized University and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the field.
  • Experience on microfinance is more preferable
Job Summary:
  • The Internal Auditor I (Regional) is responsible for conducting routine audit activities; verifying that all transactions of the assigned Regional Office & Branches, i.e. saving contributions, loan disbursements and collections, remittances & other payments and receipts are properly handled in accordance with the policy & procedure of the Company and are registered properly

Position 4: Executive Assistant to the CEO

Job Summary

The Executive Assistant to the CEO will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Executive Officer in the day-to-day operations and management of executive responsibilities. The position requires a highly organized and proactive individual capable of handling a wide range of administrative tasks with discretion and professionalism

Key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the CEO in various projects by conducting research, analyzing data and providing insights,
  • Coordinates with other executives and departments to facilitate project execution
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners and board members on behalf of the CEO,
  • Draft, edit and proofread documents, presentations and reports on behalf of the CEO,

Position 5: Manager, Logistics, General Services & Administration

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: – MA/BA Degree in Management, economics, accounting or related
  • Experience : A minimum of 8/10 years of experience out of this 4 years in supervisory position
Job Summary
  • Prepares and updates procurement schedules for materials and services requested by the various work units of the Company, professional services and procurement of stock and property are adhered to, Ensures that the all supplies purchased/donated are received by Goods Receiving Note, are properly handled, and issued by Store Issue Voucher upon requests, Ensures that the Company’s properties are protected from theft, misuse, damage, pilferage, Provides logistics support for all units of the Company;

Reports to: Director, Human Resource and Administration

Position 6: Digital Banking Manager.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education:  MSC/BSC Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience: 6/8 years of relevant experience out of which 3 years in supervisory position
  • Proven experience in digital banking, financial services, or a related area, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of digital banking technologies and trends.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Job Summary

Strategy Development: Develop and implement digital banking strategies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership: Manage a team of digital banking specialists to drive project execution and achieve departmental goals.

Product Management: Oversee the development, launch, and performance of digital banking products, ensuring they meet customer needs and regulatory standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with IT, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure seamless integration of digital banking solutions.

Position 7: Senior planning and Marketing officers

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: – MA/BA in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics or related.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4/6 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge in digital marketing and skill
Job Summary:
  • is responsible for: the preparation of operating plans, project and business plan, monitoring and evaluating activities and performances. He organizes and coordinates the collection, compilation, consolidation and analysis of data to conduct that will be used as input for development research work, to study projects and to prepare short and long plans of HMFI.

Position 8: Senior Operations Officer

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: – MA/BA in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics or related.
  • Experience A minimum of 4/6 years of relevant experience.
Job Summary
  • The purpose of the Senior Operations Officer position is to assist the Operations Manager in preparing innovative ideas in planning, organizing, supervising and monitoring as well as reporting of operational activities of the institution. He/she assesses branches operations prepare reports, studies and forwards work improvement methods

Position 9: Senior Accountant

Reports to: Manager Accounts and Finance/Treasurer

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: MA/BA degree in accounting
  • Experience: Minimum of 4/6 years of relevant experience
Job Summary
  • is to establish, operate, monitor and periodically summarize the extent of the financial operations and performances of the Company, i.e. recording, summarizing and reporting in the form of regular financial statements and reports

Position 10: Manager, Credit Analysis & Portfolio Mgt.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: MA/BA degree in accounting, banking and finance or related
  • Experience: 8/10 years of relevant experience out of which 5 years in supervisory position
Job Summary
  • Plan, direct, coordinate and control the credit service activities of the Institution, Ensures credit services are processed as per the Institution’s guidelines from end- to- end, appropriate credit customers are identified and recruited and existing customers are retained;

Position 11: Manager saving mobilization

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: – MA/BA degree in accounting, banking and finance or related
  • Experience: 8/10 years of relevant experience out of which 5 years in supervisory position
Job Summary
  • Plans with respect to the expansion of Saving portfolio, in particular its savings volume and product range. Requires a strong ability to develop new products and markets.

Reports to: Operation Director

Position 12: Managers Treasury, budget and fund mgt

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: – MA/BA degree in accounting, banking and finance or related
  • Experience: 8/10 years of relevant experience out of which 5 years in supervisory position
Job Summary
  • Check daily fund balances to ensure the Company can meet current and future commitments and financial requirements both in local and foreign currencies

Position 13: Manager Accounts and Finance

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: – MA/BA degree in accounting, banking and finance or related
  • Experience: 8/10 years of relevant experience out of which 5 years in supervisory position
Job Summary
  • Handing various financial activities such as cash management, maintenance of accounting records, controlling transactions, compilation and preparation of financial statements;

Reports to: Finance Director.
