Position 1: Application Developer

Qualifications:

MSc/BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information System or other related field.
2/4 years relevant work experience

Responsibilities:

·Develop applications and maintain existing applications. Ensure effective and efficient web based software development, system support and troubleshooting of enterprise solutions with high availability and high performance requirements.
· React / next.js developer with aws deployment experience (web & admin dashboard)
· flutter mobile app developer with aws deployment experience for cross platform mobile apps (android and ios)(customer & seller apps)
· Refines user requirements from business users.
· Designs applications.
· Designs business applications.
· Develops application logic using programming language.
· Unit tests the application.
· Gives application support.
· Fixes application bugs.
· Maintains existing enterprise business applications.
· Produces quality deliverables and work products for assigned work
· Strictly adheres to software development life cycle process and method.
· Proactively communicates progress, issues and risks on assigned tasks;
· Stays abreast of ECX business and its operations.
· Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Senior Database Administrator

Qualifications:

MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Software Engineering and related fields.
4/6 years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:

Administer, develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security and meeting uptime SLAs of ECX enterprise database platform. Establish and implement policies to ensure backup and restore capabilities. Perform capacity planning, database tuning and table maintenance.

· Establishes and implements policies to ensure backup and restore capabilities.
· Performs capacity planning, database tuning and table maintenance.
· Works with programmers and other IT staff to ensure database policies, procedures and rules are followed.
· Creates and modifies database objects.
· Establishes effective data replication techniques where applicable.
· Ensures the database up time SLAs are met or exceeded.
· Continually implements best practice ideas, practices and processes.
· Serves as leading expert in database administration.
· Proactively stays abreast of latest database technologies.
· Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
