Advocacy Center for Democracy & Development (ACDD) is a non-profit civil society organization established in 2020 and officially registered under the FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organizations (Registration No. 4867). ACDD’s mission is to enhance civic participation, promote governance reforms, and foster democratic development in Ethiopia.

ACDD is currently seeking a qualified fresh graduates for the following intern positions.

Position 1: Finance & Admin Intern

Qualifications and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

  • Fresh graduate
  • Strong understanding of Ethiopian financial regulations and NGO financial policies
  • Familiarity with Peachtree or other accounting software

Skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong commitment to learn organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand English (both written and spoken); fluency in English is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.

Personal Qualities

  • Initiative, creativity, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to working in a civil society environment and promoting ACDD’s mission.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Position 2: Communication and Advocacy Intern

Qualifications and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Experience

  • Fresh graduate 
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic graphic design tools. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge on website and in handling social media related issues  
  • Strong commitment to learn organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and following updates
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
  • Critical thinking 

Language

  • Ability to understand English (both written and spoken), 

Personal Qualities

Salary: Negotiable
