Addis Ababa Science and Technology University has the following vacant positions and invites qualified applicants.
Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) is one of Ethiopia’s two specialized science and technology universities. It was established under the First Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP I: 2003–2007 E.C) with a special mission to advance the country’s scientific and technological capabilities.

Notice:
- For MSc/M.A(Lecturer) Positions, the minimum CGPA for BSc/BA degree should be 3.25 for Male and 3.00 for female candidates and for the Second Degree (MSc/M.A) minimum CGPA requirement is 3.5 for all Candidates & a minimum Research result (MSc Thesis result) should be B+/ Very Good.
- Higher Diploma Program (HDP) Certified will be given priority.
- For Assistant, Associate and full professor PhD degree is mandatory
- For Associate Professor 4 years of teaching and research experience after holding PhD degree & having recent publication.
- For Professor 4 years of teaching and research experience as an Associate Professor &having recent publication.
- For Technical Assistant Positions, the minimum CGPA for BSc/BA degree should be 3.25 for Male and 3.00 for female candidates.
- For Senior Technical Assistant, 4 years of experience as a Technical Assistant & having action research experience.
- For Chief Technical Assistant I, Having MSc degree & 2 years of experience as a Senior Technical Assistant, one Laboratory Manual & Published One Research paper in a reputable journal.
- Salary as per the government salary scale and additional benefits as per Higher Educational Institution.

- In all of the cases if the lower rank and higher rank compute for one position, for example Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor, Professor, priority shall be given to the candidate with the higher rank, in this case, the professor.
- In all of the cases if the lower rank and higher rank compute for one position, for example Chief Technical Assistant I, Senior Technical Assistant and Technical Assistant, priority shall be given to the candidate with the higher rank, in this case, the Chief Technical Assistant I.
