Position: Import Officer
Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing Management, Economics, or related business fields
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of practical experience in import operations, including end to end L/C handling, customs clearance, and import documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and follow up on foreign currency application, import permits, Letter of Credit (L/C) applications, and other bank-related documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders for timely shipment and document dispatch Practical knowledge of the Electronic Single Window (ESW) platform for import operations
- Ensure all required import documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, etc.) are complete and compliant
- Follow up on customs clearance and liaise with clearing agents to ensure timely release of goods
- Track and monitor inbound shipments, updating relevant departments on delivery timelines
- Verify and process import-related invoices, duties, and freight charges
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and generate periodic reports to the concerned organs of the company
- Coordinate with internal departments to support procurement and logistics operations
- Stay current with import regulations, procedures, and documentation standards
