Vacancy at Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) for Refugee Registration Officer II:

The Refugee and Returnee Service (RRS) is a governmental organization established to provide services to Refugees and Returnee. Currently our country hosts close to 1 million refugees coming from more than 19 countries. The refugees are hosted in 25 refugee camps across the six regional sates of the country and are receiving various basics and social service in collaboration with UN agencies, governmental, non-governmental organization and civil societies.

Position: Refugee Registration Officer II

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information System, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Management Information System and Software Engineering from a recognized University or College.
• Experience at least Two years of experience in data encoding, registration, data management or in a related role.

Skills and Competencies:

• Demonstrated knowledge of network systems, computer applications, security and protocols.
• Familiarity with IT policies, registration procedures and best practices.

Considerations

• Candidates with prior experience of working in RRS, UNHCR or IOM in a refugee context will be given priority.

Duty Station

• The duty station will be in one of RRS’ operational locations, which include refugee centers under Branch Offices in Addis Ababa, Assosa, Gambella, Jigjiga, Melkadida, Semera and Gondar. There may be reassignment within the Service’s operations based on workload.

Duration: Four-month contract

Payment: Birr 1,746 (One Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-Six Birr) Per Day, Paid Per Month
