Junior Auditor At Optimum Audit Service LLP:
Position 1: Junior Accountant
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
- Zero to one year of relevant accounting or finance experience is advantageous.
Technical Expertise:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards, preferably with exposure to IFRS/GAAP.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Peachtree is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
Position 2: Accountant
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Exposure to inventory accounting and import cost build-up preferred.
- Experience in a professional accounting firm is an asset.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and Ethiopian tax regulations.
- Understanding of inventory valuation methods and basic cost accounting.
Position 3: Senior Accountant
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest or active pursuit of ACCA certification is considered a strong advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in accounting, finance, or audit roles, preferably within accounting firms serving diverse client sectors including private and development organizations.
- Proven expertise in inventory management, cost accounting, tax accounting, and import cost build-up within client-service environments.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, or equivalent, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ethiopian tax legislation, IFRS, GAAP, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple client engagements under tight deadlines.
