Mullege PLC is a prominent coffee exporter in Ethiopia, specializing in green Arabica coffee beans. With over three decades of experience, the company has grown from a small supplier to an internationally recognized exporter, serving clients on four continents. They operate two major plants in Addis Ababa and have a substantial annual production capacity and logistics operations. Additionally, Mullege maintains a state-of-the-art warehouse with a capacity to store over 5,000 tons of coffee.

Their mission is to provide the most refined coffee to coffee lovers globally through two processing plants in Addis Ababa and pulping stations across Ethiopia. They also aim to be a recognized freight service provider, as evidenced by their national recognition and significant revenue.
Position: Production Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a closely related field
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle Complex problems and situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Oversee the daily operations of the dry mill, including hulling, grading, color sorting, and hand-picking processes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all processed coffee meets the specific grade requirements (e.g., Grade 1, Specialty, Screen 18) and moisture content levels requested by the buyer.
- Inventory Control: Track stock levels of raw parchment vs. processed green beans. Manage “outturns” (the yield percentage after processing) and minimize waste.
- Compliance & Certification: Ensure the facility adheres to international standards such as Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, or Organic certifications, maintaining meticulous documentation for audits.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and train factory floor workers and casual laborers, ensuring high productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintenance Coordination: Schedule routine maintenance for milling machinery to prevent downtime during peak harvest seasons.
- Packaging & Labeling: Oversee the bagging process, ensuring correct weights, grain-pro lining usage, and accurate shipping marks on every bag.
