The Material Planning & Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the procurement processes, controlling inventory levels, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently by maintaining the necessary inventory levels and optimizing material usage across the organization.
Position: Junior Material Planning & Purchasing Officer
Experience Required
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in material control, procurement, or supply chain management
- Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and optimizing inventory levels.
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills Required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with suppliers and internal teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in using inventory management and procurement software, as well as MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions related to material sourcing and inventory control.
