Position: Junior Laboratory Professional
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory,
Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect, label, and prepare laboratory samples for testing and analysis
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments according to standard procedures
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
- Ensure laboratory safety rules and infection prevention procedures are followed
- Prepare laboratory reagents, chemicals, and solutions when required
- Assist senior laboratory professionals in research, diagnosis, or quality control activities
- Maintain proper documentation, laboratory logs, and patient/sample records
- Monitor inventory levels of laboratory supplies and report shortages
- Dispose of laboratory waste materials safely and according to regulations
- Ensure confidentiality of patient or research information
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities within the laboratory
- Support calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
- Communicate test results and laboratory findings to supervisors when necessary
- Stay updated with laboratory standards, procedures, and new technologies
