JAY JAY TEXTILES PLC, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, are part of the 50-year-old JAY JAY group with factories in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Ethiopia. Started with our first factory in Ethiopia in 2014, we specialize in the manufacture of infant and baby wear clothing specifically for export to
USA.
Our main US customers are GERBER CHILDRENSWEAR, GARAN, CARTERS, THE CHILDRENS PLACE, etc. While our company exported over USD 80 Million from Ethiopia, our group combined exports from all four countries exceeded USD 350 Million during the last financial year.
Position 1: Electrical Engineer
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in electrical engineering, preferably with site survey and project execution exposure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Mechanical Engineer
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Position 3: Civil Engineer
Qualification:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in site management and construction supervision
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Position 4: Draftsperson
Qualification:
- Degree or Diploma Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Basic understanding of engineering and architectural principles
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration
Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
Position 5: Quantity Surveyor
Qualifications:
Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract law
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Position 6: Site Surveyor
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Surveyor in construction projects.
- Proficient in the use of surveying instruments.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
