Huayou Energy is an energy technology company specializing in lithium battery systems, energy storage solutions, and electric-mobility applications. The company is expanding its activities in Ethiopia, with a focus on supporting the country’s growing electric mobility, renewable energy, and energy-storage sectors.
Position 1: Electrical Engineer
Requirements
- At least 1 year of site/factory electrical experience.
- Able to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot independently.
- Familiarity with generators and distribution panels.
- Basic English skills, including recognition of common technical terms.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, inspect, and maintain temporary power systems.
- Operate generators, transformers, and switchgear, and maintain maintenance logs.
- Guide local workers on safe wiring practices and correct unsafe practices.
- Submit monthly equipment inventory and consumable plans.
- Assist Chinese engineers with power-on commissioning.
Additional Requirements:
- Male, aged 25–40.

Position 2: Finance Officer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 1 year of work experience in Ethiopia.
- Familiarity with Ethiopian tax, VAT, and labor laws.
- Strong banking relationship and communication skills.
- Fluent English.

Responsibilities:
- Handle daily accounting and tax filing, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian tax laws.
- Manage payments, collections, and cash flow.
- Liaise with banks regarding transfers, Letters of Credit (L/C), and foreign exchange.

Position 3: Sales Manager – Addis Ababa / Nationwide
Requirements:
- Relevant working experience in the tricycle, BESS, and lithium battery industries.
- Fluent spoken and written English is preferred.
- Existing customer resources in Ethiopia or the East African market are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for business, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales strategies for tricycles, energy storage, and battery products.
- Manage dealers, government departments, and major client channels.
- Track industry competitors and local policies.
- Provide timely feedback on local market demand.
