Vacancy: Finance and Administration Officer

Position: Finance and Administration Officer

Qualifications and Requirements:

● Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
● Proven expertise in financial management, HR processes, and administration.
● Strong knowledge of Ethiopian and European accounting standards.
● Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
● Proficiency in financial software and tools; familiarity with donor compliance.
● Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies related to financial systems and
donor engagement.
● Experience in managing events and logistics is an asset.

Job Description

Financial and Operational Management:

● Maintain bookkeeping and administration of invoices and accounting documents in adherence to Ethiopian and European accounting practices and standards.
● Manage the bank account, payments, and treasury.
● Collaborate with the Director to oversee budgeting processes for End FGM’s global and project budgets.
● Monitor expenditures against budgets; track cash flow and predict trends.
● Prepare financial statements for donors, ensuring compliance with donor rules and regulations.
● Produce accurate financial reports for the Director and Board within specific deadlines.
● Manage annual accounts closing and external audits in collaboration with the external accountant.
● Ensure compliance with internal and donor-related procurement regulations and record-keeping.
● Develop and implement appropriate financial systems and tools.

Human Resources:

● Prepare monthly payrolls and manage time-sheets.
● Maintain an internal leave registry.
● Monitor HR developments in compliance with Belgian laws and regulations; report to the Director.
● Liaise with the Social Secretariat on HR matters.

Administration:

● Oversee compliance with legal and administrative requirements as a Belgian asbl.
● Maintain relationships with service providers to ensure efficient office systems, supplies, and equipment.

● Manage logistics and other administrative tasks as required.
● Assist in the organization of meetings, conferences, events, and actions.

Marketing Skills:

● Support the promotion of financial systems and tools to stakeholders, including donors.
● Collaborate on marketing strategies that align with organizational goals.
● Assist in branding and visibility efforts to enhance donor engagement and project support.
