Ethio-Friends Foundation for Refugees (EFFR) is the first legally registered Refugee Led Organization (RLO) in Ethiopia, is looking for a highly qualified Finance and Administrative Assistant for the project “Empowering Families Through E-commerce to Support Children’s Education and Well-being,” based in Gambella.

Position 1: Finance and Administrative Assistant

Academic Requirements and relevant Experience

BA in Accounting and Finance Zero to One year work experience in a similar field

Required Skills

Basic knowledge and skill of accounting principles
Basic knowledge and skill of computer including Microsoft offices such as use of words, excel, internet, teams and financial tools.
Motivated to work
Skill of coordination and team work
Easily coachable and willing to learn
Willing to work during working hours with flexibility of working out of regular work hours
Strong communication with government authorities and the host community.
Willingness to conduct field visits and the ability to work under pressure.

Duty Station: Gambella

Salary and Incentives: Gross salary of 31,000 ETB permonthsubject to government taxation

Language Requirement: Strong Amharic and English skills Fluency in both English and Amharic (written and spoken) is mandatory and knowing other local languages is an asset

Position 2: Accountant

Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience

BA degree in Accounting and Finance
A minimum of Five Years work experience in a similar field

Required Skills

Proven experience in finance
Experience in using accountancy software packages
Knowledge of managing donor fund
Excellent verbal (written) & oral communication skills in Amharic & English
Diligent and trustworthy person
Analytical skills

Language Requirement: Strong Amharic and English skills is mandatory

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Employment Type: Part time/50%/

Position 3: Logistic Officer

Required Qualifications

Degree in Social Science, Business, Economics, management or related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience managing livelihood, child protection and advocacy and capacity building projects. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Demonstrated experience managing multi-component, multi-value chain programmes, preferably in refugee hosting districts or humanitarian settings.

Required

Experience supervising multidisciplinary technical teams and community-based field staff.
Strong understanding of livelihood, women empowerment and protection and advocacy for voiceless people of concerns.
Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, financial oversight and results-based management.
Experience coordinating with government institutions, particularly the Refugee and Returnee Service, UNHCR, RLOs and other relevant stakeholders.

Duty Station: Gambella frequent travel to Refugee camps

Salary and conditions: Gross salary of 31,000 ETB per month subject to government taxation

Employment Type: Part-time/80%/

Gender Preference: Male/ Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Position 5: Digital Marketing and Website Management Officer

Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience

A Bachelor Degree in Media and communication, computer science and software engineering, , information management and other related fields with at least three (3) years relevant work experience in media and communication preferably in the NGO sector
Relevant exposure to the work of the Refugee Led Organization and Refugee responses will be an advantage.

Required Skills

Very good planning and organizational skills
Excellent communication, planning and advocacy skills;
Readiness to share information and knowledge at all times, drive for results and continuous improvement;
Adaptive, Patient, resilient and flexible
Excellent ability to work using MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, etc.
Knowledge and experience in additional computer office applications and working tools will be an advantage.

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Salary and Incentives: Gross Salary 77,500 ETB subject to government taxation

Language Requirement: Strong Amharic and English skills is mandatory and knowing other local languages is an asset
