Call for Applicants Interested in Election Trainer Positions

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is preparing for the 7th National Election and is undertaking various preparatory activities, including the recruitment of trainers who will train election operators at different levels.

To ensure competent trainers are available for election operations training, the Board has sent notifications to higher education institutions and teacher training colleges, inviting qualified candidates to apply. Following this, the Board will select candidates who meet the preliminary screening criteria to undergo written and oral examinations and assess their competence in training and knowledge management.

Although the Board has received applicants from some institutions, there is a need to reach more qualified candidates, especially in Oromia and Somali regions, to ensure sufficient trainers are available. This public call aims to address that need.

Screening Criteria for Applicants

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Sciences or a related field.
Independence:
- Not a member of any political party and able to deliver training impartially.
Leadership Competence:
- High-level leadership skills sufficient to handle assigned responsibilities.
Professional Conduct:
- Upholds professional ethics and able to conduct training processes effectively.
Training Experience:
- Sufficient experience in delivering trainings/workshops, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and interact constructively with participants.
Communication Skills:
- Proficient in regional languages, as well as oral and written communication skills for delivering and receiving training.
Willingness to Travel:
- Willing to be present at training centers within the assigned regional zone.
Examination Requirement:
- Applicants must pass written and oral examinations and demonstrate competence during the screening process.

This announcement aims to ensure that qualified and competent trainers are identified and deployed to support election operations effectively in all regions, particularly in Oromia and Somali regions.
