Bless Agri Food Laboratory Service Plc invites fresh graduates for the following job position.

BLESS Agri-Food Laboratory services PLC is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory established by the joint venture of Ethiopian and French investors in 2011. Bless serves as one of the Country’s focal conformity assessment body specializing in testing, product certification, inspection and training services on agri-food items.

Position: Junior Accountant

Education: B.A. Degreeor College Diploma in Accounting

Experience: 0/4 years of experience in accounting

COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Good knowledge of government financial and tax regulation.
• Ability to make financial analysis and prepared financial plans
• Ability to manage and control activities pertaining to accounting.
• Skill in basic computer software applications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares payment sheets; checks and ensures the documents area approved for payment;
• Prepares cheques and payment vouchers against documents that are approved for payment by authorized officials;
• Ensures cheque payment voucher and supporting documents are stamped PAID before signature of cheque; ensures that cheque and cheque payment vouchers are signed by authorized signatories;
• Issues signed cheques and follows-up for settlement;
• Report monthly for the unsettled payments and follow the subsequent action;
• Ensures the payment documents are well furnished;
• Maintain complete filing system to support financial records;
• Computes and prepare all monthly tax payments;
• Assists in preparation of payroll; prepares and pays payroll checks;
• Assist in month end reporting procedures;
• Undertakes postings and checks computer printouts; analyzed discrepancies of accounting records; and
• Performs other related duties as required.
