We are looking for a skilled and experienced Customs Officer to handle import/export clearance processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate smooth cross-border logistics. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth customs clearance, timely shipments, and full regulatory compliance with customs laws and regulations.
The Customs Officer is responsible for managing the import and export clearance of goods in accordance with Ethiopian customs laws and international trade regulations. This role ensures that shipments are processed efficiently, duties and taxes are accurately assessed, and all documentation meets regulatory standards.
Position: Customs Officer
Qualifications:
- BA in International Trade & Finance, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customs clearance
- Familiarity with Ethiopian Customs Management System (CMS) Portal and customs valuation procedures
- Proven in-depth knowledge of Ethiopian Customs Proclamation, regulations, procedures, and tariff classification
- Excellent understanding of import/export processes, INCOTERMS, and international trade practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy, including strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
