Aggar MFI is the first Commercial private Microfinance established in accordance with proclamation No 40/96 which is currently replaced by proclamation No.626/2009 to serve the “missing middle” to provide credit and saving services in urban and rural areas of the Country.

The founders envisioned addressing both social and profitability objectives. Aggar was established by 443 shareholders with paid-up capital of Birr 4,243,600.00. Currently, its shareholders grew to more than 750, its paid-up capital to more than 200 million, and its total assets to more than 410 million.

Aggar Micro Finance S.C wants to recruit qualified professionals for the following Vacant Positions:

Position 1: Auditor

Qualification:  BA/College Diploma in Accounting or related field

Experiences:  2/6 years of relevant experience

Expected Competency (Skills required)

  • Good knowledge of micro-finance business
  • Good knowledge of auditing methodologies
  • Good knowledge of company operations
  • Ability to undertake financial analysis
  • Excellent verbal communication and report writing skill.
  • Basic computer skill

NB: – Microsoft Office particularly excels and word Skill is Mandatory.

Position 2: Manager, Credit Portfolio Management

Qualification: MA/BA in Economics/Management/ Accounting/ Banking and Finance or related field

Experiences: 4/6 Years of relevant experience 2 of which in senior positions

Expected Competency (Skills required)

  • Broad knowledge of the Micro Finance Business
  • Good communication human relations skills
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data to assess the performance and risk levels of the portfolio
  • Proficiency in using software and tools for portfolio tracking, data analysis, and reporting
  • Ability to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure portfolio health and impact
  • Understanding of relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in microfinance.

  • Broad knowledge of the overall business in financial industry
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and market expansion.
  • Experience in identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships that enhance the organization & market position and service delivery.
  • Ability to plan, executes, and oversees projects related to business development and partnerships.
  • Ability to clearly present ideas, strategies, and data to various audiences.
  • Develop Financial products

  • Extensive knowledge of Financial Industry management practical and procedure operations
  • Skills in recruitment, talent development, and performance management to build a high-performing team
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Financial Management principles and concepts• Excellent knowledge of Financial Accounting, Treasury Management and Share Administration\• Accounting Software application skills
  • IFRS application skill• Good Financial analysis skill
  • Skill in evaluating investment opportunities, including loan portfolios, equity investments, and financial instruments.
  • Experience with implementing and integrating IT systems and solutions that support financial and HR functions
  • Understanding of corporate governance principles and practices relevant to microfinance institutions
  • Familiarity with financial statements, reporting, and financial management within the context of microfinance
  • Crisis Management, Decision Making & Communication
