Abay Bank has fulfilled all the necessary requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia to set up a bank, and officially established on July 14th 2010 and started full-fledged banking operations on November 3, 2010.
Currently, paid up-capital of the bank is Birr 4.733 Billion/ Four Billion Seven Hundred Thirty three Million Birr as of June 30, 2023, and the number of share holders reached 4,437/ Four Thousand Four Hundred Thirty Seven.

Position 1: Junior IT Officer
Required Education and Experience: BSc Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information science or Information Technology related fields with zero work experience
Only graduates of 2023 & 2022 G.C are invited to apply. (2023 G.C applicants should pass the national exit examination).
● CGPA for Male 3 & for Female 2.75
● Age below 30 for both.
Junior IT Officer is responsible to provide support on various data base management systems. Provide support on various business applications. Understanding of development methodologies and modern programing languages such as python, java, C” and others. Understanding of data base design & programing including SQL. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position 2: Office Equipment Maintenance Technician
Required Education and Experience: BA/Diploma in electricity/machine/Office equipment maintenance or related field of study with 1/2 years related work experience.
Office Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible to diagnose and identify the defective part, request/purchase spare parts, and maintain the equipment. Conduct periodic services for office equipment. Proposing office and electromechanical equipment maintenance for outsourcing, Receiving and inspecting repaired equipment from external service provider and handing over to user organs,. Installation and maintaining of new and existing telephone and electrical lines

Position 3: IT Security Engineer
Required Education and Experience:
B.Sc degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science with a minimum of 3 years experience in information technology security area.
● Certification or/and Security related training is advantageous (CISSP, CEH, CCNP-Security and etc)
IT Security Engineer is responsible to configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices (Unified Threat Management or Next Generation Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Endpoint Security Solution, others). Expertise in LAN/WAN and other network-related concepts and principles. Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment. Review existing security practices periodically and discuss them with the IT team to ensure business continuity. Perform Vulnerability and penetration testing on different IT assets. Perform system and network security hardening. Able to prepare RFP for required IT Security Solution. Checking and controlling patches for it systems and security tools. Other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Position 4: Customer Service Supervisor – Grade 1 Branch
Required Education and Experience: BA Degree in Economics/ Accounting/ Management/Business Administration/Finance and Accounting or business related field of study with a minimum of 3 years of experience in banking operations.
The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible to countersigns on tickets/vouchers and authorizes transactions, to follow up all cheque clearance activities, and accounts of suspense nature, to ensure and follow up reconciliation of accounts;

Position 5: IT Security Administrator (Officer)
Educational Level and work Experience: BSc degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Security administration.

Position 6: Senior IT Security Engineer
Educational Level and work Experience: BSc degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science with a minimum of 5 years experience in information technology security area.

Position 7: Senior IT Security Administrator
Educational Level and work Experience: B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science with a minimum of 5 years experience in the Security Engineering.
• Security Certification Mandatory (CISSP, CEH, CCNP-Security and etc)
Place of Work: Head Office
Position 8: Branch Manager – Grade 1
Educational Level and work Experience: BA Degree in Management or Economics or Accounting & Finance or Marketing or Banking & Finance or Business Administration or other business related field of study with 4(four) years’ work experience in banking operations, out of which 2(two) year in supervisory position.
