Position 1: Senior Credit Information Officer

(For Credit Portfolio Management Dep’t.)

Education: Bachelor’s/ B.Sc. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields              

Experience: At least 4 years relevant experience with 2 years as Officer level I or equivalent

The incumbent is responsible for lending decision making, ensuring that Credit information of the Bank’s borrowers and Credit Reference System/CRS/ of NBE are properly documented and updated, to ensure compliance and timely dissemination of reports to different stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

·  Maintain positive work habits that are conducive to the bank growth and profitability

Position 2: Senior Auditor

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, Finance or related discipline and Minimum of Five (5) years relevant experience

Experience: Minimum of Five (5) years relevant experience

The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the bank’s audit activities under general supervision; coordinates the implementation of audit programs; develops audit methodologies and approaches; devises standard audit procedures for the examination of the bank’s operations; and prepares and submits periodic reports on findings. Assures that the Company’s revenue and expenses are accurately recorded and represented in the Company’s books of accounts.

Position 3: Senior Officer, Credit Follow up & Monitoring

(For Credit Portfolio Management Dep’t.)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or related fields and at least 4 years relevant experience with 2 years as Officer level I/II or equivalent

Experience: At least 4 years relevant experience with 2 years as Officer level I/II or equivalent.

The incumbent is responsible for executing, processing and ensuring Credit monitoring & follow up on the credit portfolio of the Bank as laid down in the Credit Policy and Guidelines and Procedural Manuals and in compliance with the Banking Act, NBE Prudential Guidelines and Agreements.

Position 4: Senior Branch Operation Officer

( For Branch Management Department)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or related fields and at least 4 years relevant experience with 2 years as Officer level /II or equivalent

Experience: At least 4 years relevant experience with 2 years as Officer level /II or equivalent.

The incumbent is responsible for providing support to Branches on the Bank’s overall operational matters; provide and Communicate relevant working guidelines, Manuals, various directives like National Bank of Ethiopia to Branches and follow up proper implementation of same; Review and follow up the rectification of audit, risk and Compliance reports on Branches and sub Branches and prepare summarized reports, timely respond requested information from court, federal police and Ethiopian revenues and customs authority office and other governmental offices.

Position 5: Sr. Officer, Performance Management

(For the soon to be opened different BC locations)

Education: Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related discipline from a reputable university.

Experience: At least five 3 years relevant experience with 2 years as Officer Level II or equivalent. post-qualification experience in a similar role.

The incumbent is responsible for handling performance management in branch operations in the department. Analyse employee appraisal reports received and ensure that aggregate findings are consistent with bank wide and unit performance for the time. The Senior Officer is in charge of employee performance management operations on an individual or team basis, the job holder will monitor employee performance and assist in giving feedback and management of corrective measures aimed at improving performance. He/she also assists in the conduct of research/studies that contribute to the establishment of the Bank’s employee performance management policies and processes.

Position 6: Principal Officer- Credit Follow up and Monitoring

(For Credit Portfolio Management Dep’t.)

Education: Bachelor’s/ B.Sc.Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience: At least 5 years relevant experience with  1 year as Senior Officer as a Professional/Expert

The incumbent is responsible for implementing the credit monitoring and follow-up strategies of the Bank as laid down in the Credit Policy and Guidelines and Procedural Manuals to mitigate possible credit risks.

Location: Addis Ababa 

Position 7: Principal Auditor

Education: Bachelor’s/ B.Sc. Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Finance and Auditing or related fields. Professional certification in accounting (CPA/ACCA). Other qualifications

Experience: At least 6 years relevant experience with 2 years as Senior Auditor as a Professional/Expert

The incumbent is responsible for evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the bank’s internal control, risk management and governance system to give assurance and consulting service to management on special investigations.  Reporting Internal Audit, the position will be responsible for leading the delivery of audits across all business processes.

Required Competencies:

o   Examine the policies and processes that are being established for sufficiency and completion of critical controls.

o   Plan, carry out, and report on audits of all business processes.

o   Oversee audit engagement execution to ensure compliance with Internal Audit policies, standards, and procedures for the delivery of high-quality results within stated audit plans and budgets.

o   Provide management with realistic and cost-effective assistance on establishing, implementing, and improving internal controls.

o   Ensure the success of strategic projects. Recommend controls to be implemented in the system to reduce identified risks.

o   Design and execution of a Continuous Auditing and Monitoring Program centre on major areas of concern / exposure.

Position 8: Senior BMS Engineer (For Engineering and Building Management Department)

(For Credit Portfolio Management Dep’t.)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction management or Mechanical Engineering or related field and Five (5) years related experience.  

Experience: At least Five (5) years related experience.  

The incumbent is responsible for executing building management strategy, policies, and procedures to guarantee the effective operation of all building systems, as well as controlling acquisition/for existing buildings and providing technical assistance for future construction projects. Assisting with the safety and upkeep of specified properties, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation. Recommending and arranging property upgrades as needed to create a safe, functional, and pleasant environment.

Skills Required:

o   Drafting and updating emergency plans and evacuation procedures.

o   Contracting professionals for repairs as needed

o   Ensuring that occupants have adequate utilities

o   Monitoring building maintenance budgets

o   Arranging for building improvements

o   Overseeing contractors and inspecting completed jobs

o   Supervising grounds staff

o   Hiring employees or contractors as needed to maintain, repair, or improve the property

o   Resolving complaints, problems, and requests from building

o   Inspecting the building frequently for signs of damage or wear

Position 9: Manager, Performance Managment Division

(For Credit Portfolio Management Dep’t.)

Education: MBA/MA Degree in HRM or other relevant field of studies with 6 years relevant experience of which 2 years in Managerial or equivalent capacity.

Experience: BA Degree in Management/HRM/Business Administration/Public Administration/Law or other related fields with 8 years relevant experience of which 2 years in Managerial or equivalent capacity.

The incumbent is responsible for managing the Performance Management process by ensuring the formulation of policies and guidelines to enable the department to successfully achieve its mandate in relation to Performance Management activities and creation of a high-performance organization. He/she monitors and controls the development of performance plans and key performance indicators per the strategic vision, scope, priorities, processes, systems and tools of the Bank.

Competencies required:

  • Working knowledge of Performance Management Systems, practices, processes and technology
  • Working knowledge of Balanced score card system
  • Technical knowledge in human resources and/or business administration.
  • Understanding of best and most recent HR practices and techniques.
  • The ability to transform broad/general performance objectives into particular, quantitative metrics.
  • The ability to create critical performance management tools and instruments.
  • The ability to coach others on the performance management cycle and procedure.
  • Project management abilities.
  •  The ability to lead, influence, and drive change efforts in support of department/unit business strategy.
