Position 1: Senior HR & Administration Officer Staffing & Recruitment)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources and related fields.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in human resources.

Other Qualifications:

· Additional training/certification in Payroll Management – may be advantageous.

· Labor Relations certification – may be advantageous.

· Experience as a Skills Development Facilitator – may be advantageous.

· Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution.

·   Knowledge of employment legislation.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·  Protecting the interests of all employees.

·  Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.

Job Description:

  • In close consultation with recruitment and staffing manager leads the ongoing plans and implementation of performance management processes.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs and develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Manage the preparation of all staff payroll and timely disbursement of salaries or other employee benefits according by ensuring leave and time sheet tracking for updating any payroll changes accurately and timely.
  • Provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, taxation and Life and accident Insurance.
  • Ensure manual records are accurately maintained and updated regularly in line with data protection.
  • Under the direction of the Head of HR, to be responsible for the compilation and submission of salary related matters.
  • Ensures that all line managers are aware about how to evaluate and coach staff and that performance discussion are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.    

Location: Jigjiga, Head Office, Somali

Position 2: Senior HR & Administration Officer (Performance Management)

Job Description:

  • Support Talent Manager for Performance Management Evaluation process and make sure all national and international staff are aware of how to evaluate and coach staff performance effectively and timely.
  • Prepares analytics and/or reports for management on performance assessment results.
  • Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
  • Orientating/induction new employees and training existing employees.
  • Provides basic counselling to staff that have performance-related issues in coordination with supervisors.
  •  Ensures the timely initiation and completion of periodic performance management calendars
