Nib Insurance Company invites qualified applicants for the following positions.

Nib Insurance Company (NIC) was established by 658 shareholders with an authorized capital of Birr 50.0 million and a Paid-Up Capital of Birr 14.0 million in May 02, 2002 with 4 branches in Addis Ababa and a total staff size of not more than 50.

Currently, the paid up capital has reached to Birr 250 million and the number of shareholders increased to 1,014. NIC provides both General (Non-Life) Insurance and Life Assurance Services to its clients.

The Company undertakes its operations through its Head Office, 42 branches and 1 Contact Office (For the General Insurance) and 1 Life Assurance branch. Twenty-Seven of the branches are located in Addis Ababa. Currently, the number of employees working for NIC has reached to 416.


Education: BA Degree in Management or Banking and Insurance or Economics or in related fields.

Experience: 9 years related experience, of which 4 years in managerial position.

Basic Functions

Under the general steering of the Chief Executive Officer plans, organizes, directs and controls all features associated to strategic and alter administration; follows up the achievement of strategic aims and recognized adjustments; and intently collaborate with cross purposeful groups to drive strategic initiatives and handle adjustments.

Major duties and duties

  • Plans, organizes, directs and controls the actions of the unit;
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive development and profitability;
  • Closely collaborate with cross-functional groups to develop and execute strategic tasks and initiatives;
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to formulate and talk the corporate’s imaginative and prescient, mission, values, strategic targets and aims;
  • Drive Company change by growing and monitoring implementation of change administration methods and applications;
  • Monitor and consider the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make suggestions for changes as wanted;
  • Stay up-to-date with business developments and regulatory adjustments to make sure compliance and inform strategic decision-making;
  • Prepare and submit periodical stories.


  • Intensive data of technique formulation, planning, analysis, monitoring,;
  • Comprehensive data of change management tools, ideas and ideas;
  • Ability to coordinate and direct quite a lot of actions;
  • Ability to create efficient work groups;
  • Commendable group and time administration talent
