National Election Board of Ethiopia Vacancy
National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent organization established in accordance with Article 102 of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Since its establishment, the Board has organized different branch offices at both the federal and regional levels including the two administrative cities. The NEBE has conducted five national elections, two local elections, and six referendums.
Since January 2019, in an effort to reform NEBE, the House of Peoples’ Representatives enacted a new proclamation that reduced the management board to five members that serve full time for a period of six years. According to Proclamation no.1133/2019, the board has the following powers and duties.
Position 1: Procurement Assistant – Intern
Education and Work Experience:
- BA/MA degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, management, Economics, purchasing and supplies management, Marketing or other relevant studies
- 0 – 1 year for BA Degrees or Masters
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Learn strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Relationship building and communication
Know-How (Skills) (Technical competencies):
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Effective time management to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Behavioral competencies:
- Results Orientation
- Flexibility
- Diligence
