National Election Board of Ethiopia – Intern
National Election Board of Ethiopia(NEBE) for Internship opportunity fresh graduates. The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referenda, and regulate political parties in Ethiopia.
The GESI Intern will support the NEBE GESI Department in integrating gender equality and social inclusion principles across all electoral operations for the upcoming General Election.
Position: Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Intern
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Social Anthropology, Development Studies, Law, or a related field.
Work Experience
- 0-1 year
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interest and understanding of gender equality, social inclusion, and human rights issues in Ethiopia.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Language:
- Required: Fluency in written and spoken Amharic and English.
- Strongly Preferred: Proficiency in one or more other regional languages (e.g., Afan Oromo, Af Somali, Tigrigna, Afar).
