National Election Board of Ethiopia(NEBE) for Internship opportunity fresh graduates.
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referenda, and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its institutional strength with a special focus on the enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for the Intern Position who meet the following requirements.
Position 1: Interns – Training Department
Qualifications:
- Degree in Education, Communication, Social Sciences, or related fields.
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in communication platforms (e.g., email, social media) and basic office software (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
The Training Intern will support the NEBE Training Department in preparing for the upcoming General Election. This role involves various aspects of training coordination, communication, and logistical support across all regions.
Language
Proficiency in one or more regional languages is required (Amharic, Afan Oromo, Afari, Afan Somali, and Tigrigna).

Duty station: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa

Duration: 10 months
Salary: There is no salary, but a Stipend to cover some costs
Position 2: Intern – Logistics Department
Qualifications:
- BA Degree in any field of study with no experience.
- Good skills and use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Good at writing and speaking English.
- Willingness to work under challenging or constrained conditions and overtime.
Required number: 24
Reports to: Logistics Departments
Duty station: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa
Duration: 7 months
Salary: There is no salary, but a Stipend to cover some costs
Position 3: Intern – Civic and Voter Education (CVE) Department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Civic Education, Adult Education, Political Science, or related Social Science fields.
- No prior work experience required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Amharic and the local language of the duty station.
- Commitment to professionalism, civic duty, and electoral integrity.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is preparing for the 7th General Election, scheduled for May 2026. In this regard, NEBE is recruiting 150 interns who will work in collaboration with NEBE’s Civic and Voter Education Department, the Regional Branch Offices (RBOs), and university student volunteers previously trained by NEBE.
