Position 1: Junior Accountant

Education & Experience 

  • BA. Degree in Accounting or related fields
  • Zero years experience

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • File and maintain records
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet,profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing.

Position 2: Store Keeper

Education & Experience

  •  TVET Diploma in related fields 
  • One to two years of experience

Skills 

  •  Basic knowledge in production stock
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  •  Keep a record of sales and restock the store accordingly. 
  •  Manage and train store staff. 
  •  Plan promotional campaigns for new products or specials. 
  •  Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized.

Position 3: Senior Agronomist

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • B.A. degree in Plant science/Horticulture, related fields
  • Minimum of four years’ experience as senior production supervisor, preferably experience flower farm and related at least two year working experience as a senior production agronomist.

Skill Needed

  • Ability to coordinate and lead a team
  • Able to communicate in English, Amharic and Oromifa.
  • Good management skills
  • Ability to build relationships with others.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and good understanding of Agricultural related things.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: –

  • We are looking for one a senior Agronomist that will fulfill the following requirement.
  • Follow up all agronomic activities in greenhouse and agronomy workers
  • Division of work for employees according to their competencies
  • Registration of work accomplished    
  • Set-up and follow up field trials whenever  necessary
  • Check the work performance of  production  workers, irrigation and respective group leaders
  • Giving training for production and agronomy supervisors
  • Check opening and closing greenhouse sides and follow climate condition in the greenhouse
  • Solve workers problems
  • Manage all employees under him/her.
  • Discuss problems with  Agronomy Manager and follow up the progress
  • Evaluate workers performance
  • Check FLAQ regulations and Code of Practice of the department
  • May perform jobs given by management

Communications and working relationships

  • Internal: Agronomy Manager, Agronomy and production department team, HR Team and other departments.

Position 4: Farm Manager

Education Back ground:

  •  MSC/BSC Degree in Plant Science, Crop Protection, Agricultural Economics and Environmental Management.
  • Manage and drive the farm performance measurement requirements.
  • Eight years of private commercial farming work experience.  for MSC and ten years for BSC from which four years of work experience in team leadership 

Main Duties

  •  Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameters.
  •  Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets.
  •  Undertake practical activities, such as driving tractors, operating machinery, feeding livestock or spraying fields.
  • Facilitating the supplies, such as fertilizer and seeds.
  •  Oversees the maintenance and repair of farm buildings, machinery and equipment
  •  Maintain and monitor the quality of yield, whether livestock or crops
  • Understand the implications of the weather and make contingency plans
  •  Maintain and keeping an up-to-date knowledge of pests & diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them
  •  Apply health and safety standards across the farm estate
  •  Organizing sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products
  • Handling paperwork and keeping administrative records
  • Recruiting, training/instructing and supervising farm workers
  • Making sure that work progresses satisfactorily
  •  Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
  •  Organizing maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery.
