Minaye PLC was established as a Private Limited Company (PLC) in 1992 with a capital of 23,000,000.00 (Twenty three million Birr), before establishment as PLC it has operated for over 20 years as a sole proprietorship and now Minaye is involved in many sectors of the economy.

Minaye PLC is a group of departments including Deluxe Furniture, Manufacturing, Construction and Property.   

Position 1: Junior Accountant

Education: BA/BSc degree in accounting or finance related filed.

Experience: Not required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions and accounts based on Company policies and procedures.
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
  • Assist Accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Calculate and report daily and weekly cash positions.
  • Check all disbursements and transactions are supported by proper documentation and authorization.
  • Invoice debtors’ accounts and maintain suppliers’ records.
  • Make all appropriate deductions and payments to concerned bodies on time.
  • Complete general ledger operations.
  • Organize, file and keep financial source documents.
  • Perform other activities assigned by immediate supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, Competence:

  • knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
  • Good with numbers, figures and organizing abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills

Position 2: ICT Internship

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field of study.

Experience: 0 years of experience.

Required Number: 10

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain ICT equipment and software.
  • Provide technical support to end-users in person, via phone, or electronically.
  • Assist in the implementation of ICT projects and initiatives.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., backups, updates, system checks).
  • Help maintain inventory and documentation of ICT systems.
  • Contribute to the improvement of ICT processes and procedures.
