Kuriftu Africa Village is thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new African village resort near Ashew Meda. We are currently seeking passionate and talented individuals to join our team in the following positions:
Position 1: Ethiopian Traditional Food Chef
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a chef specializing in Ethiopian traditional cuisine.
- Extensive knowledge of Ethiopian spices, ingredients, and cooking methods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Certification in culinary arts is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare authentic Ethiopian dishes using traditional cooking methods and recipes.
- Develop and enhance the traditional food menu to ensure a unique dining experience.
- Source and manage high-quality ingredients for Ethiopian cuisine.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on traditional cooking techniques.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal or event-specific dishes.
Location: Ashewa meda, Asko, Betel, keraniyo – Addis Ababa
Position 2: Bar Manager/Waiter /Barman
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of beverages, mixology, and bar operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in bartending or hospitality management is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring seamless service and an exceptional guest experience.
- Develop and maintain a diverse, creative beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers.
- Train, mentor, and supervise bar staff to deliver high-quality service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, costs, and profitability, and develop strategies to achieve targets.
- Foster a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for guests.

Position 3: Accountant
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial projections.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
- Support cost control initiatives and financial planning.

Position 4: Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong MS Excel skills.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles (IFRS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and budgets to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Process payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and assist in tax planning and filing.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Position 5: Finance Manager – Hospitality Industry
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the hotel’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Manage cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll processing.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with department heads to manage financial planning and cost control initiatives.
