Kelem International School – Internship
Kelem International School (KIS) is the Former Swedish Community School invites qualified applicants for the following position.
The Swedish Community School in Addis Ababa is a school with a Swedish profile. The Swedish School was founded in 1946 and the School has more than 70 years of experience, delivering Swedish education in the English language in a foreign environment.
Today the school offers Preschool, Primary and Lower Secondary and has around 150 children ranging from 3 to 14 years old. The Swedish Community School provides education in English in accordance with the Swedish Curriculum, LGR 11, for compulsory school.
Position: Admin Assistant
(Internship for a temporary base employment)
Qualification
- Education: 1st degree in management or related field of study
Requirement
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant minimum 6 monthsÂ
- Able to comfortably communicate verbally and in Written English & Amharic
Requirements and skills
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, e.g. printers , scanner and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an HR Documentation system
- Maintain documents, office files and records for compliance with local, state and federal education bureau standards and requirements.Â
- Prepare written materials i.e. reports, memos, letter, etc.Â
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, communications and forms
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Maintain stakeholders contact lists
- Provide general support to visitors
- Respond to a wide variety of calls, concerns and/or complaints in order provide information and/or refer to appropriate personnel.Â
- Support other personnel for the completion of their work activities.Â
- Handle all inquiries related to jobs by accepting their CVs and assist the HR manager with HR matters.Â
- Attend to all incoming phone calls and correspondences, ensuring that they are followed up with by the appropriate individuals.
- Perform any other administrative tasks.
Working hours: Monday – Thursday (7:30 am – 4:30 pm) and Fridays (from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm).
